The wedding of Krishna and Rukmini is being solemnized in the presence of Brahma, Ganesha, and the priest. The mandap is decorated with banana leaves near the poles and mango leaves over the roof. The priest is reciting shlokas from a book near the vedi, illustrating local traditions. The marriage is witnessed by Baratis in their traditional attire. A flag bearer and musicians playing nagara, narsingh, and flute add to the celebratory atmosphere. The wedding gifts are on full display, including gold utensils, boxes, sandook, a throne, bed, palanquin, horse, and more.
Scenes from Bhagavan Purana are illustrated on either side in palla, depicting Krishna’s playful exploits, such as stealing the clothes of gopis.
